Construction
of the new bridge on Indian Trail Road over the Belle River, which
was started last fall, is once again in full swing. the new
bridge is nearing completion and work will begin soon to tie in
the new bridge and road with the existing road. Starting the
day after the Memorial Day Holiday, May 27, 2008, Indian Trail
Road will be closed between Belle River Road and Wadhams Road to
complete this work. the expected length of the closure will
be three weeks and a detour route will be set up for traffic to
get around the road closure. The detour will be placed from
Wadhams Road along Puttygut Road, to King Road, To Meisner Road to
Indian Trail Road. Temporary lane closures are to be
expected the rest of the time. After the new road and bridge
is connected with the existing road, the new bridge will then be
opened and the old road and old bridge will be dismantled,
salvaged and removed. The expected completion for this
project is set for July 18, 2008.
Indian
Trail Road will be closed to through traffic between Wadhams Road
and Belle River Road due to the construction of a new bridge over
the Belle River until 7/03/08.

Road resurfacing is well underway. The project limits run
from 2800 feet east of Wadhams Road to 1000 feet east of Bartlett
Road. The major items of earth work have been
completed. Joint repair and paving is scheduled to begin the
week of May 19th. Road traffic on Gratiot Road will not be
detoured; however, lane closures are to be expected if traveling
through this area. The expected completion for this project
is set for June 27, 2008. Stein
Road between Wadhams Road and Hyslop Road will be closed to
through traffic for a cross road culvert installation on 6/23/08
from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Gratiot
Road resurfacing is well underway. The project limits run
from 2800 feet east of Wadhams Road to 1000 feet east of Bartlett
